User Onboarding

This guide is for anyone invited to an organization that is already set up in Antenna. Your team has connected its sources and configured the workspace, so your focus is on getting oriented and using the data available to you.

Antenna provides visibility, governance, and financial intelligence for AI-driven software development. Our platform helps you measure AI adoption, prove productivity gains, optimize token spend, and forecast engineering ROI across every developer, team, and tool.

Using activity from Git and AI development tools, Antenna helps teams:

See who is using AI, how often, which tools they use, and where teams need enablement
Quantify whether AI is increasing output, innovation rate, and effective capacity
Track cost per developer, cache efficiency, context bloat, and token-to-output efficiency
Plan future AI budgets, compare tools, and understand ROI

Getting started only takes a few minutes. Start by signing in to the platform and finding your way around the data available to you.

First steps

Create an account

Accept your invitation and sign in at app.antenna.dev . Once signed in, you’ll see your company in the top left of the navigation menu.

Explore your data

Start with the main reports available to you, such as the AI Overview, Maturity Quadrant, and Constraints. Together they show how your organization is delivering software.

Filter by groups

Any groups you’ve been assigned appear in the filters at the top of each report. Use them to focus on the teams or areas relevant to your work.

Find your own data

If your account has been matched to an identity, the My Data section shows your own activity and metrics.

Data sources

Antenna assembles its data automatically from the tools your team already uses and does not require any changes to developer workflows.

Git metadata from your provider (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps), including pull requests, reviews, and commits. Antenna reads metadata only, never your source code.
AI tool activity from the APIs of assistants and agents, such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code.
Project tracker data from tools such as Jira, used for planning and delivery metrics.

Antenna links the accounts behind this activity into a single identity for each contributor, aggregating activity from each tool into one holistic view.

Control plane

Antenna measures activity across your entire development lifecycle, from pull requests, reviews, and deployments to AI tool adoption and spend. Those data points roll up into KPIs that reflect the outcomes your organization has already delivered, and leading indicators that surface the inputs and behaviors shaping future results.

Individually, each number describes one slice of activity. Together, they form a holistic picture of how your organization delivers software and how that practice is evolving as AI becomes part of everyday development. Productivity is where that picture starts, measured as New Deliveries per Developer.

New Deliveries are calculated by multiplying the number of pull requests by the percentage of new code they contain. They represent the new, original component of your pull requests as they move through to production.

Among the many KPIs you can track, New Deliveries captures the real value—net new innovation—your team delivers to the business. It’s a universal metric that can be tracked consistently across teams, projects, and even organizations.

Around this core measure, Antenna tracks metrics across the competencies that define a healthy engineering organization, including velocity, quality, and developer sentiment.

Validating your data

Metric traceability keeps every metric connected to the records used to calculate it, so you can see the activity behind any number and understand how its value is derived. As you explore your reports, review those records and flag anything that doesn’t look correct.
