Developers Using GitHub Copilot
DEFINITION
Developers using GitHub Copilot are tracked based on their usage of GitHub Copilot while creating a pull request.
HOW IT’S MEASURED
A developer is using GitHub Copilot if they created a pull request using Copilot in the last 90 days.
When calculating features per developer, developers using GitHub Copilot are tracked on a 90-day rolling window. For example:
- Weekly: total features delivered during the week divided by number of developers (90-day rolling avg) on the last day of the week
- Monthly: total features delivered during the month divided by number of developers (90-day rolling avg) on the last day of the month
- Quarterly: total features delivered during the quarter divided by the average number of developers (90-day rolling avg) on the last day of the quarter
