Adoption Rate

DEFINITION

Adoption rate measures the number of developers actively using GitHub Copilot. It measures the extent of your organization’s GitHub Copilot adoption.

HOW IT'S MEASURED

Adoption rate is calculated as the number of developers with Copilot activity in the last 90 days divided by the total number of developers in your organization. A developer is any organization member who has created a pull request in the last 90 days — excluding bots. You can also see a breakdown of developers using Copilot each week.

Copilot activity is any interaction with Copilot functionality, such as receiving a code suggestion, chatting with Copilot Chat, or using Copilot on a mobile device.
