Code Review Participation
DEFINITION
Code review participation is the percent of team members reviewing code. Maintaining high code review participation helps teams improve code quality and avoid review bottlenecks — leading to faster development cycles and improved productivity.
HOW IT’S MEASURED
Code review participation is calculated as the number of team members participating in code reviews divided by the number of active engineers in a given time period. Team members participate in code reviews by leaving comments, requesting changes, or approving pull requests.
