A higher rate of accepted suggestions indicates that Copilot is more effective.

HOW IT’S MEASURED

Lines accepted measures the number of line suggestions shown by GitHub Copilot that were accepted, while lines ignored measures the number of line suggestions that were ignored.

The line acceptance rate is calculated by dividing the number of line suggestions accepted by the total line suggestions shown to developers.

GitHub Copilot usage data is provided through the GitHub API. We cannot read the content or code suggested by GitHub Copilot.
